Contribute, Objective 1

“We give voice to those who are vulnerable
or voiceless through
public engagement and advocacy."

Injury is the leading cause of death in Alberta youth. Of all the age groups in Alberta, teens ages 15-19 years are those most at risk for injury and also most at risk for death by injury. The mission of P.A.R.T.Y. is to promote injury prevention through reality-education. color: #612272

Serve, Objective 1

“We attract, engage, develop and retain
mission driven employees, physicians and volunteers
and support them in
discovering and deepening their own calling.”

P.A.R.T.Y. Edmonton staff and large volunteer team are passionate about making a difference in the lives of teens. The program provides leadership, growth and support opportunities for volunteers from all walks of life, and we are privileged to receive their contribution of time and expertise. We are honored to provide references when the P.A.R.T.Y. Program has been a stepping stone for volunteers to further their post-secondary and career pathways.

Serve, Objective 2

“We provide excellence in care and service
by exceeding performance expectations
in quality and safety.”

Serve, Objective 3

“We utilize and enhance our
information, infrastructure and financial resources
to their fullest capacity.”

P.A.R.T.Y. Edmonton directly impacts over 4,000 Grade 9 students from Edmonton and area each school year. We bring these youth to the Misericordia Hospital to learn, through vivid and emotional experience, the reality of what happens when young people make choices that change their life forever, and we introduce them to the use a 'SMART Risk' approach in life.

Through public engagement and advocacy, P.A.R.T.Y. Edmonton builds public and stakeholder understanding of and support for Covenant’s contribution, partners with communities and key contributors, and strives to continually exceed performance expectations in quality.

Feedback from teachers, parents and students and the research referenced on this site all speak to the profound and lasting impact of the program’s SMART Risk messaging for youth.

Contribute, Objective 2

“We partner with patients, residents, families,
communities and key contributors
to achieve health and healing.”

P.A.R.T.Y. Edmonton has established a visible and growing public profile in Edmonton and across the province as a leader and major contributor in youth injury prevention. We foster strong community partnerships, and we advocate for youth and the need to keep youth injury prevention top of mind.
