What to Expect

The In-Hospital P.A.R.T.Y. Program is a full-day program that makes the potentially devastating consequences of trauma very real for grade nine students.

  • The day includes interactive presentations and experiential exercises to help the students understand how being permanently injured would impact their lives and the lives of those around them.
  • This is a reality-education injury-prevention program, designed to expose teenagers to the sometimes tragic consequences of risk-taking behaviors.
  • Students will hear the stories of front line hospital staff, police officers and injury survivors sharing about their roles, memories, and frustrations.

What to Expect

The In-School abbreviated P.A.R.T.Y. Program is a half-day version of the In-Hospital program for grade nine students about the consequences of trauma:

  • We deliver the most important messaging in presentation format and Socratic interaction. The half-day In-School Program includes considerably less experiential learning than In-Hospital.
  • This is a reality-education injury-prevention program, designed to expose teenagers to the sometimes tragic consequences of risk-taking behaviors.
  • Students will hear the stories of front line hospital staff, police officers and injury survivors sharing about their roles, memories, and frustrations.

Registration information for Schools

The online application process opens each April for the following school year, and program dates fill very quickly. If you wish to be notified when the application process opens for next year, create a school profile. Everyone on our website mailing list will be sent an email notice when applications open each spring.

Note: Openings become available on occasion through the school year. Registration inquiries are accepted year round for these – please contact us if you missed the spring registration but are interested in attending.

Criteria for School Applications

  • Students must be in Grade 9. If your school includes Grades 9 and 10 and your Grade 10 students didn’t attend last year, you may apply to bring both grades.
  • In-hospital programs accommodate up to 100 students per day. Schools with more than 100 students may apply for additional days. There is no minimum group size - more than one school group can be hosted on the same day.
  • In-school abbreviated programs are available on a limited basis. Applications will only be considered for schools with more than 160 grade nine students, and in-school programs will be offered to the schools with the largest grade nine populations.
  • A registration fee of $12.00 per student registered will apply.
